Principal’s Message

Dear Hurricane Students and Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Hammocks Middle School! It is with great excitement and Hurricane pride that I welcome our students and families back for another incredible year.

This year, our theme is “Remember the Hurricanes!” Inspired by the spirit of teamwork, perseverance, and determination found on the football field, our theme reminds us that success is never achieved alone. Every student, teacher, staff member, and family plays an important position on our team, and together, we are stronger.

As we take the field for a new school year, our game plan is simple: work hard, support one another, rise to every challenge, and never lose sight of who we are. At Hammocks Middle School, we believe in our students, we celebrate their accomplishments, and we challenge them to become the very best versions of themselves, both inside and outside the classroom.

To our students, I encourage you to make this year count. Show up ready to learn, get involved, take chances, support your teammates, and never give up when the game gets tough. Your teachers, administrators, and staff are on the sidelines cheering you on every step of the way.

To our parents and families, thank you for being such an important part of our Hurricane team. Your partnership and support make a tremendous difference in the success of our students. Together, we will continue to create a school community where every student feels supported, challenged, valued, and proud to be a Hurricane.

I am honored and incredibly proud to serve as your principal. I look forward to celebrating all the touchdowns, victories, milestones, and unforgettable moments that the 2026–2027 school year will bring.

So, Hurricanes, it’s game time! Let’s take the field with pride, give it everything we have, and make this a year to remember.

Because here at Hammocks Middle School, we remember who we are!

Remember the Hurricanes!

With Hurricane Pride,

Maritza Correa
